Terms of Service
Welcome to Cobb Custom Engraving. By accessing our website or purchasing our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. Accuracy of Customisation
We are dedicated to Crafting Identity in Every Detail. The customer is responsible for providing accurate text, logos and instructions. For custom orders we may provide a digital proof; once a proof is approved by the customer via email or digital signature, Cobb Custom Engraving is not responsible for errors present in the approved design. Laser engraving results may vary based on material density, grain and composition; natural variations are not considered defects.
2. Intellectual Property
By submitting logos or artwork, you represent that you own the rights to that imagery or have obtained legal permission to use it. We reserve the right to refuse orders that infringe trademarks or copyrights. We reserve the right to photograph and display finished products for promotional purposes unless an NDA or prior written request for privacy is established.
3. Customer-Provided Materials
If you provide your own items for engraving, while we use industry-leading precision, laser engraving involves heat and mechanical processes. Cobb Custom Engraving is not liable for the replacement cost of customer-provided items in the rare event of machine malfunction or material failure. Customers provide their own items at their own risk.
4. B2B & Wholesale Terms
For business-to-business orders, specific lead times and volume pricing will be outlined in a separate quote or invoice. Large orders may require a non-refundable deposit before production begins. Quoted lead times are estimates and may be impacted by supply chain or shipping delays.
5. Limitation of Liability
Cobb Custom Engraving shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of our products or services. Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the specific order in question.
Product Care & Maintenance Guide
We use high-precision lasers to create permanent designs. To keep your custom piece looking its best:
- Wood: Hand wash only, dry immediately, condition with food-grade mineral oil monthly, keep away from heat and direct sunlight.
- Glass & Crystal: Engravings are physical abrasions and will never fade or peel. Hand washing is recommended and avoid abrasives.
- Metal & Powder-Coated Tumblers: Hand wash powder-coated items to preserve the coating. Clean stainless steel with a soft cloth and non-abrasive cleaner.
- Slate & Stone: Wipe with a damp cloth; a tiny drop of mineral oil restores the deep contrast against the engraving.
- Leather & Leatherette: Keep dry, blot with a dry cloth if wet, and avoid chemical cleaners.
